March is National Nutrition Month

tranquility_nutrition_march.jpgMeet Linda Hellman BSNS

March is National Nutrition Month.  This started as a campaign in the 1970s with the theme “Invest in Yourself.”  This campaign encourages people to become educated about food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

The theme for 2016 is "Savor the Flavor of Eating Right," which encourages everyone to take time to enjoy food and prepare it so that it is not only healthy and nutritious, but so that it tastes delicious!  Developing a mindful eating pattern that includes nutritious and flavorful foods is the best way to savor the flavor of eating right!

Below is some information from Linda.  Learn more about anti-aging and staying youthful and healthy on the cellular level…

The hormones in your Endocrine System control your fat and sugar cravings.  Ghrelin, the hunger hormone, Leptin, the satiety hormone, and Cortisol, the stress hormone must stay in balance in order to control cravings and maintain optimum weight & energy level.

These hormones are deeply affected by the foods and beverages you consume on a daily basis.  Simple carbohydrates and sugars throw off the balance and add excess yeast (Candida) in your body causing weight gain, fatigue, and restless sleep patterns.

Candida live in the digestive system, but can break through the wall of the intestine, get into the bloodstream, and spread throughout the body. When this happens, a toxic by-product called acetaldehyde begins to cause free radical damage to your body’s cells.  That is one of the culprits of aging.  To slow down the aging process and look your best each day, you need to take care of your body from within.

Probiotic foods like yogurt conquer the excess yeast and help rebalance your Endocrine system; thereby avoiding free radical damage and early aging.

Try this Probiotic Protein Shake to start your day off in the best possible way.
